There are various beaches running down the Coronian Spit from the tiny port at the top: the common beach, men’s beach, women’s beach and, of course, the nudist beach. These beaches at Smiltyne at the top of the Spit appear to be quieter than those devoted to swimming at Juodkrante and Nida. This is the Baltic coast so it is strictly summer time swimming and sunbathing, but from June to August the water is warm and the sands are clean. There is a fairly strong current pushing you up towards Klaipeda but essentially the swimming is easy. When I visited the naturist section not everyone on the beach was nude, with perhaps half the women being topless rather than totally nude. Those women who’d discarded their bikini bottoms tended to be sunbathing in the dunes at the top of the beach, although there were members of both sexes skinny dipping. The waves made the water very pleasant to swim in and much of the beach was empty, particularly those portions closest to the sea. Everyone using the beach was with one or two friends, there was no one there alone. The atmosphere was very relaxed with only about 30 people dotted across the expansive beach. Verdict: a groove sensation!

It’s good if the both sexes mix and it doesn’t end up like a high school disco. I’ve never been to a nudist beach it’s too cold and dirty where I live.

This beach sounds too much like good clean family fun. No one having sex or guys jerking off is just soooo boring. I like something sleazier than you’re describing, so there is no way you can call this one of the world’s top nudist beaches.

It always makes me feel so much healthier when I can dump my clothes and swimming costumes and get as naked as the day I was born… swimming in the nude is just so much nicer than wearing a costume!
