Was Jimmy Savile A Necrophile?

One of the more surreal aspects of the unfolding scandal around media split-personality Jimmy Savile is the way British media reports of the disgraced disc jockey and TV presenter sexually assaulting young kids are finally being run so long after they did the rounds elsewhere (including on various nutjob conspiracy blogs). As soon as Savile died a slew of right-wing commentators felt free to put online stuff they’d have feared being sued about earlier. That said, the stories they tell had gone around the music business and elsewhere for years before they appeared in endless copy and paste jobs on web operations run by loonies who are deranged enough to believe that the Illuminati is something more than a very  minor secret society that was successful suppressed in the eighteenth-century! However just because these sites manage to grab the wrong end of the stick with regard to virtually everything they cover, that doesn’t mean that very occasionally they don’t get things right. And they may be more or less correct on most of what they have to say about Savile and his colleagues.
So this leaves me wondering whether there is more than a grain of truth in the decades old rumours that Savile volunteered as a hospital porter because it provided him with the opportunity to get it on with corpses (as well as to sexually abuse crippled children). The mainstream media hasn’t picked up on the necrophilia allegations to date but they are now repeating so much of what has been widely available on nutjob conspiracy blogs since Savile’s death a year ago that it seems merely a matter of time before they bite the bullet on this one too. It is less likely – but not impossible – that they will eventually repeat the allegations that former British Prime Minister Edward Heath abused kids at the same Jersey children’s home that Savile trawled for young victims.
Another peculiar aspect of the Savile scandal is that many commentators seem unable to understand why paedophilia is unacceptable. Acceptable sex is consensual sex. It should go without saying that consent is only possible when all those partaking in a sexual act enjoy social equality. Given the power differentials between adults and children, paedophilia can never be consensual and thus it should be condemned as an utterly inappropriate form of behaviour. So regardless of whether it is Savile, or his fellow Radio One DJ John Peel (or pop musicians like Gary Glitter and Jimmy Page), adults having sex with kids in their early teens is always abuse. Some John Peel fanboys seem to think he wasn’t a paedophile when he slept with young girls (and married a 15 year-old when he was 26) because he is their hero. Such posturing is absurd and illustrates a generalised inability to grasp the real issues.
Finally, the Savile scandal is yet another manifestation of the destruction of the status quo – and needs to be connected back to the ongoing scandals around banking, phone hacking and MPs expenses. The establishment is in ruins and Savile shouldn’t be treated as a rogue celebrity but rather as one manifestation of a more general malaise. Saville like John Peel and Alan “Fluff” Freeman (another dead former Radio One DJ about whom there are plenty of child abuse allegations floating around the web) were all recognised by the British honours system (with Savile himself also being close to various members of the British royal family during his life). This starts to create the impression that unless you are a kiddie fiddler you’ll never be offered an honour by Queen Elizabeth II. The class system still stinks something rotten and it is high time we not only stripped all royals of their titles and wealth, but did the same to every last member of the superannuated  establishment!

My mate has a theory that this is all somehow Murdoch’s revenge on the BBC! I like how you join the dots on the disintegration of the establishment though!

Cripes. I really feel for those poor youngsters. There is a lot of it around though when I was that age I was on the receiving end of the unwanted attentions of a music teacher. Yuck yuck yuck.

Jimmy Saville groomed the nation. What a disgusting specimen. It is vile behaviour. I don’t think it is the establishment particularly but it is pretty revolting how they have ‘honoured’ these revolting people. It is the power imbalance that is so striking especially these kids on homes at least I eventually plucked up the courage to tell my mum and dad that weird stuff was going on that made me feel very very uncomfortable and I got out of the situation relatively unscathed. If you are in a children’s home who is there for you? As I maintain so called ‘care’ should actually be called ‘harm’.

Sorry to repeat ‘revolting’ yet again I am on my mobile and it is a bit tricky editing one’s comments…

But then I suppose the establishment is all about an imbalance of power so Mr Trippy has a point…

Oh yes something is very wrong out there…I will stop cluttering with multiple comments now and hope that someone has something to say! :). Also just before I pop off I wonder why it is all coming out now why did nothing surface in the mainstream when he was alive? That is peculiar.

When I was at school all the kids from a children’s home were there with us too… and they never seemed at all well cared for. You heard the whispers about sports and TV stars doing kiddie fiddling but no one said it happened to them. After I left school it came out that a boy I knew growing up had been abused by his art teacher – but then he went to a different school to me. It coming out – coz the art teacher had been caught abusing other kids – made it worse for the kid I knew, coz he was bullied mercilessly (not by me) in his late teens for being the victim of an ‘arse bandit’. So it is easy to see why kids being abused say nothing.
And I think the BBC is very establishment. Savile may not of come from that posh background like his colleagues (including the likes of John Peel) and bosses, but I think you had (and still have to) adapt to those cultural values if you want to get on in an establishment like the BBC. And Savile became showbiz establishment and got to hang with the royals and top politicians etc.

Yes I suppose that is true I have never felt particularly comfortable with any of those places and any attempts to ‘work’ with them have been doomed to failure but as I get older it appears that that us a good thing!

Jimmy Savile was Gilles de Rais (1404-1440) incarnate. The French aristo buggered, mutilated and murdered countless children – and committed acts of necrophilia. Jimmy de Rais, Viscount of Leeds and Scarborough, might not have murdered young ‘uns but he did his best to get his hands all over their bodies and so destroy their souls.
And who’s to know what Jimmy de Ath got up to in mortuaries? We know from Damien Hirst that some Yorkshiremen think of them as beauty spots – and places of sport: in a Leeds mortuary Hirst once batted me on the back of the neck with a severed arm.
Gilles de Rais used his aristocratic ‘droit de seigneur’ to get away with his crimes just as Jimmy used his celebrity status. Gilles carried out his dark deeds under cover of showbiz – Gilles’ll fix it. Offers of singing in his church choirs or performing in lavish secular spectacles, plus the promise of board and lodging – this is how many of the children were enticed into his castle. Welcome to the de Rais Children’s Home (on a clear day you can see Jersey from Gilles’ land on the French Atlantic coast).
Many of the children were peasants and their parents thought that they would be safe and perhaps even get a good education with a noble such as Gilles in his Tiffauges fortress (aka Bluebeard’s Castle). The powers-that-be let Gilles get on with it – ‘noblesse oblige’: obliges you to do what the hell you like especially if it’s with peasants and minors.
It was only when Gilles fell foul of the monarchy and rival aristos and found himself short of a bob or two that he was brought to trial. Nobody challenged Jimmy de Savile, Vicecunt of Broddmoor and Manceville – to which ‘castles’ he had the keys: nobody challenged Jim-Knob in all his pomp. It was only after his ‘pompes funebres’, cold in the ground but still reeking of his Romeo and Juliet havanas – Romeo going on 40, Juliet not quite 14: only with their tromentor a corpse that his poor ‘peasant’ victims felt safe enough to come forward…
Jimmy de Vigilante in a tv interview once spoke with relish of having drug-takers in his clubs ejected forthwith and once outside given a bloody good hiding. Perhaps children feared that the rancid interfering old goat would butt them as well as tup them. Ridiculous as it sounds Savile’s capacity for inflicting physical as well as psychic damage shouldn’t be underestimated.
Gilles dabbled in alchemy – the Great Work. Jimmy veered towards that secretive side of Catholicism where flourishes the fascist baroque and Opus Dei – literally, the Work of God. Was he a member of Op D?… Being a Catholic when Jimmy was a boy had more of a touch of the Outsider than it does now. He desperately wanted epaulettes on his shoulder, not a chip – hence his desire to be an insider and hence his cultivation and love of the Royal Protestant Establishemnt. They let him in – the Conformist.
They ignored the fact that the royal court jester had horns on his head not bells. In the blizzard of lick-spittle which surrounds those on and around the podium of the honours system, it’s impossible for them – above the thunderous din of all the bowing and scraping – to see and hear the reality which most of us live in.
The Establishment mantle which which Savile wore – Christ knows where he kept his Celebrity Order of the Populist Garter – clothed his dirty deeds but not quite his shell-suit, or rather his sex-suit because according to one of his victims this garment was for easy access: so he could whip his elasticated trousers down and get on with the Great Work of charity. Peter Sutcliffe the Yorkshire Ripper was also like Jimmy de Casual-wear a Yorkshire Whipper: he adapted a pair of trousers to that he could the more easily whip them down and his tackle out.
I am sure that there is more to come out, as they say. It all goes a long way back, well beyond the point at which Jimmy de Yorkiste first came out of his shell-suit: just the thought of it is a shock to the ehtical system.
But in the meantime, as Mr Trippy says, let us remember that Savile is part of the bigger picture of rot in GB 2012. You don’t need to go any further than Yorkshire and its rotten police – see the recently revealed falsification and black propaganda re Hillsborough. Recently revealed but, like Savile, people have known about it for decades. But what do you expect – all capitalism is gangster capitalism and liar boys-in-blue are just one of the many ways in which it keeps itself going.
Finally, some footnotes – pedophila and paedophilia…
With great relish on his radio show John Peel used to describe tasty school girls he had spotted on his way to work.
St Trinians – another great British film franchise like James Bond. Which to choose – the paedophile or the imperialist fantasy? Savile choose both – predator on children and action man on behalf of the Establishment.
Alan Freeman lived in Brighton. He knew the Beatles lawyer David Jacobs (not to be confused with the more famous DJ of the same name). David ‘I did the Beatles merchandising deals in the US’ Jacobs died in Brighton in 1968 after a rumoured S&M orgy. Jacobs loved boys. So did playwright Joe Orton. He planned a move to Brighton but was murdered before he could. O Brighton, city of Domes and purple glistening helmets, I hear the susurrus of your conspiracies but when will you spill your secrets?

Yes from Gilles de Rais to Jimmy Savile shows how little we’ve progressed. I nearly mentioned Hillsborough in relation to the crumbling of the established order, but figured phone hacking covered cop corruption anyway…. I was trying to keep it reasonably short. But actually as you point out it was a public ‘secret’ for years like Savile as sexual predator…. so now I think I should have included it…. but here it is in the comments anyway…

No it isn’t just people in the establishment who abuse kids, but easier to get away with it if you are part of that scene…. And Savile had the keys to Broadmoor so that he could access every patient there – and offices/and or bedrooms there and at a couple of other hospitals….It seems these institutions didn’t care what he did to those they were supposed to be caring for because he raised lots of money for them and raised their profile…..

Comment by Lucy Johnson on 2012-10-12 22:32:43 +0000

Words are failing me as I try to digest this fact-he basically had completely free reign over all these vulnerable young people! Appalling barely covers it. Why did he have keys? That is very very weird.

Comment by Lucy Johnson on 2012-10-12 22:39:25 +0000

Ultimately I suppose it shows that in this society people don’t give a stuff about youngsters that are not their own flesh and blood and then in a lot of cases child rearing methods are somewhat on the dubious side anyway. For example I read that when young people leave ‘care’ (harm), they are given their belongings in a black bin bag-I mean where is the dignity in that?

Comment by Mark Darby on 2012-10-12 22:49:39 +0000

Now I’m wondering how long it’ll take for the Savile/Krays/Cliff Richard rumours to surface more publicly…. oh.. whoops! & talking of Heath (as you all were earlier) there were supposedly very compromising pictures of him, Omar Shariff and Peter O’Toole doing the tabloid rounds back in the eighties. Too “sensitive” to publish, of course. Gruesome threesome?

When Jimmy Savile died must have been the first time he went to a mortuary not of his own accord.
If you could take the action of a wank and turn it into a voice, you’d get Jimmy Savile.
